Situation: Recently renamed, St. Paul Federal Credit Union
is a corporation that historically provided financial services
exclusively to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers
(IBEW) Local Union 110. The credit union changed its name to
coincide with the extension of the business to provide the once IBEW
member exclusive benefits to the general public. To compliment
the new name and brand, the group wanted a comprehensive web program
for their business that communicated their offerings and targeted
their key audiences.
Solution: When the group partnered with Reside, it was clear that St. Paul
Federal's unique benefits could best be communicated by displaying
the results that they had achieved since 1953 for electrical
workers. The public website was designed to clearly display the
rates and benefits they could provide for prospective customers and
feature success stories from their current satisfied
customers.
The usability of the site was targeted by: including online forms
that facilitate loan applications, integrating the site with a
secure online banking system, providing information request forms, and
adding a page that outlines answers to frequently asked questions
about banking.
Finally, Reside optimized content and layout for search engine
friendliness and submitted the site to appropriate online
directories to lay the foundation for a search marketing
program. The final product is a website that provides St. Paul
Federal with a web marketing tool that coordinates with their online
banking services.
Result: "After meeting with several vendors, Reside seemed to have the
clearest picture of what we were trying to accomplish. Our
decision proved more than accurate as our new website is state of
the art, easy to use, very consumer friendly, and very easy for us
to update on a regular basis. The Reside team was very
pleasant and easy to work with."
- Bonny Godtland, President/CEO of St. Paul Federal Credit
Union.
